I NEED to be at the makeup show because there will be so many artists there that I can learn from and I can build my kit at the same time.

This show would be the most amazing opportunity to see new products and what the real pro's out there are doing. We have the credentials but just don't have the financials to buy the tickets and do the seminars like we would like. First and foremost this is very generous thing that you're doing so thank you. Happy birthday pretty lady. Here is the reason that I would like to attend the Makeup Show. For me makeup other than being a creative form of expression, it has become a form of therapy to me, I'm sure this holds true to a lot of women. Why? well since the break up of a nine year relationship (started at 16 I'm 25) I felt a little lost then I started doing things that while in the relationship I didn't do, one being makeup. In a short time because of great makeup tutorials (from you) I've been able to make an even more beautiful face that people comment on and ask how. It's help to heal a broken heart and build a suffering ego. I would like to learn more of course and perfect the craft. Makeup is my therapy and I hope to pass that on to many more women for years to come.

So next Saturday is Morgan State University's graduation and up until 1 month ago, I had plans of being one of those 500+ people crossing the stage. Needless to say I was devastated at best and to add insult to injury, found out I had to work that day. I was recently awarded a permanent Retail Artist position at MAC and although really excited, i was still kinda bummed about not being able to participate in my big day. To top it all off, it meant I wouldn't be able to go to the Makeup Show in NYC Something told me to check with my supervisor to confirm my schedule for the rest of the month and wouldn't you know that I'm ACTUALLY OFF NEXT WEEKEND!?!?!?! I'm claiming those tickets in Jesus' name, hunny!!! My intentions of sharing this story isn't for pity. It's to simply share my story and show you why I really need to be there! Thanx 4 giving those of us who may not normally have the opportunity a chance to experience face beatin' on a whole other level!!!

I need to go because I have become a make-up fan. I am trying to start a mag and i want to bring awareness to my viewers about the funky new styles of makeup. I also am dying to go . please please pick me.I don';t know much about make-up and I want to learn so much more. I can see that this is a form of art that I would love to be apart of.
